Natural Mineral water filtered naturally ** French Volcanoes
Volvic water begins as rain and snow that falls as an ancient, dormant volcanic park in central France.
The water takes years to filter through mineral rich layers of rocks before it is bottled under supervision of a highly sanitary bottling facility from its protected source.
From the incline of the outside world, Volvic’s constant and specific mineral composition comes from its highly protected geological origin.
Its source is Clairvic Spring, Auvergne Regional Park, just to the north of the Puy de Dôme in France.
The first of the springs in the area was tapped in 1922, and the first bottles appeared on the market in 1938. Today, Volvic waters are internationally known.
- Volvic Natural Spring Water is bottled exclusively at its protected source – the Clairvic Spring. Volvic’s source is approved by several regulatory agencies based on a detailed and extensive review. To ensure the purity and consistency of Volvic, automated bottling equipment is maintained under strict sanitary conditions and a quality control laboratory conducts several hundred quality tests daily, both at the water souurce and finished bottled water product.
- Volvic Natural Spring Water Additional Safety Measures:
The water is treated with Greensand Filtraiton – the use of manganese coated filters to reduce naturally present minerals from source water.
- Volvic Natural Spring Water Source:
The water is from a 1,520 square mile nature preserve in Auvergne, France. Volvic Natural Spring Water is naturally filtered as it slowly trickles down through hundreds of layers or porous puzzolana sand, basalt, and lava stone. As the water filters through these different volcanic layers, it absorbs natural minerals.
The entire bottling system of the Volvic plant has been designed and fully automated to preserve the water’s natural qualities. The water is conveyed to the plant through a stainless steel pipeline where it is bottled immediately without any exterior contact. It takes a short period of time for Volvic water to be drawn from deep inside the volcanic aquifer to a sealed environment inside the bottle, to prevent any possibility of contamination.
Volvic water is inspected and certified by the French Public Health Ministry, and complies with European regulations and follows guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
